Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (Bengali: (IATA: DAC, ICAO: VGHS (old: VGZR)), formerly known as Dacca International Airport and Zia International Airport, is the largest airport in Bangladesh.

Transfers are available via the following options in addition to renting your own vehicle. For those not renting, you can take:

Taxi: At Dhaka airport there are pre-paid taxis that run between the airport and other destinations. UBER also available in Dhaka airport. Travel time to reach Dhaka is about 40 minutes or more, depending of the traffic jam.

Rickshaws and Auto Rickshaws (baby taxi): It is a good way to save money. Passengers must go out of the airport and cross the main road to catch one rickshaw. Please, be aware that a lot of rickshaw drivers don’t speak English.

Bus: Buses depart from the main road, from just 5 minutes’ walk from the terminal building. Buses use to be really crowded and fare is about BDT 50.

Hotel Shuttle bus: Some hotels provide shuttle bus service from the arrivals level of the airport and run to their hotel. Passengers may ask to their hotel if they have the shuttle bus service available.
